The Hope Shelter

The American Rescue Workers' Hope Shelter is a temporary Emergency Shelter designed to provide immediate shelter to homeless men in need. This facility is currently funded in part through a federal grant and therefore, it adheres to guidelines set forth under the grant and the American Rescue Workers. All potential residents are referred to The Hope Shelter through Stark County's Homeless Hotline. Upon acceptance into The Hope Shelter, the resident completes a full intake and has a brief orientation with the facility, its staff, and is notified of the expectations of his behavior while residing in the American Rescue Workers. The American Rescue Workers directs men to the proper resources to obtain assistance in getting their individual needs met. Men are assisted in achieving life skills, acquiring employment and attaining a permanent residence while in The Hope Shelter. All The Hope Shelter residents are required to attend Life Skill classes on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings as well as a Friday morning House Meeting. Other meetings and activities are scheduled throughout the week, and residents are always welcomed and encouraged to attend as many as they would like. The Hope Shelter is located at 1311 Market Avenue North in Canton, Ohio. For more information, please call the office at 330-455-8155.
